Greetings from Camarillo, Ca. Hello Rod, its good to see another fellow packet
operator out there!!! My name is Koz and the callsign is K6KOZ. My QTH is a
small town located approx. 60 miles north of Downtown Los Angeles near the
beach. I am running an FBB BBS, the Radio is an old ICOM IC-255A which is a
gem of a radio for packet, the Antenna is an Antennex 5 Element Yagi pointed
dead East to the nearest Node,(that will work!!!) K6VE-3, which is about
80-90 miles from me!!! I hope you see this Bulletin and will be able to
reply. I would try to send you a private message but I have had problems in the
past for some reason??? I run a BBS here on 145.030 MHz. but do not get much
traffic as packet is not very popular here in this area!!! I myself enjoy it
just as much if not better, than the other forms of communication thru Amateur
Radio!!! Anyway, I will sign-off for now and hope to hear from you soon.
73, de K6KOZ, "Koz".
