Greetings

In the endless pursuit of technical investigation (hi) I'm wondering how to procure a galena crystal to make a "proper" receiver (although LED's, FET's and pretty much anything with a junction works).

Not having studied chemistry, and not online, my library says they are a lead/sulphur product.
I've cut up pieces of pure lead, and mixed it in a sulphur soloution, now it's evaporating.
Hopefully I'll get some kind of crystal I can use.

Apparently they suffer from oxidisation, and from what I hear are not moisture resistant.

So come on all you OM's out there, enlighten me, how do you make them (if possible)
