A q multiplier is a crude way to increase selectivity. The Tentec 
radios have a very effective pass band tuning that even with  the 
stock SSB filters in the 9 and 6.3 MHz IFs (where a q  multiplier 
would not be very effective) can get the bandwidth down under 100 
Hz.  The CW filter is also effective but not much more though  it 
is a little handier to operate.
