I agree with Ted. I was always taught that you replied to a CW call at the
same speed as the sender calls you. As long as he stays at a speed he can
copy there will be no problem.Those who reply to a slow call at twice the
speed are showing little courtesy to the person they call.
I think we have all met the smart guy who comes back at you so fast his
dots sound like a rip in his pants and bear little relationship to the
dashes which follow so that letter V becomes Brrr Dah and practically
unreadable. We had an expression for poor senders that they were "sending
with their left foot." Very apt.
