I was looking for a address from someone in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I saw
your name and read the msg and don't remember if I sent you back a reply or
not so here is another one just in case the first one never made it or there
was operator erroe on my behalf HI Glad to see from you and hope all is well.
I am still new at this BBS thing although I'm trying to get better at it.
I run two radios here. The backbone rig is a Alinco DR-235 220Mhz and the
other is a Kenwood TR-7800 2M. I have a 4 element beam on 220 in a fixed
position on the tower atabt 45 ft. The 2M is a dual band Cushcraft ARX2B on
the top of the tower at 60 ft. both are on 24/7 they are on batteries in the
trailer and the computer that runs the BBS software (FBB) is on a UPS so that
power failures are not a problem cuz if the power is out for more then a hour
I can fire up the generator and run the whole show from there. It is important
to keep the packet station up and the refrigerator running! Also need to have
the coffee pot available for a fresh cup too! 73 4 now. De Rod...
73, Rod
