MEMORIAL OK1WC (MWC) ACTIVITY

Rules of Memorial OK1WC (MWC) activity, valid since 1/4/2011 (thereinafter
"rules").

The MWC activity is open to all HAMs and SWLs worldwide to remember all those
friends who left us forever.

1. Date & time:
The activity repeats monthly:

Each volume of the MWC activity starts in April and ends in March next year.

2. Frequency band:

http://www.iaru.org/bandplans.html).
Recommended frequencies: CW - 3520 - 3560 kHz, SSB: 3700 - 3770 kHz.

3. Categories:
3.1 Power
QRP: output power max. 5 W (or PA input max. 10 W)
LOW POWER: output power max. 100W
3.2 Operator
SINGLE-OP
SWL

4. CQ:
CW: CQ MWC, SSB: Activity MWC

5. Exchange:
SSB: RS + serial number beginning with 001 (i.e. 59 022)
CW: RST + serial number beginning with 001 (i.e. 599 022)

6. Points and resulting score:
One point per valid contact. The resulting score is a sum of all achieved
points.
As valid contacts count those that where records in both logs correspond
correctly to call signs and exchanges and where the recorded contest times
differ no more than 3 minutes. When the log of a station is not available the
contact with the station counts only when the same call-sign is found in at
least three more logs.
The same station can be worked at each lap once.

7. Annual evaluation
7.1 Resulting score
Each annual volume of the MWC is evaluated as a sum of ten best monthly results
for each participant. The annual general sequence is obtained from these sums in
descending order.
The resulting score is evaluated for each category and mode separately.

7.2 Awards
Where there were at least 10 participants evaluated in a category then the first
three will receive an award. In case of 5 to 9 participants the first two will
receive the award, where there are 1 to 4 the first one will receive the award.
The award is depicted at http://www.hamradio.cz/ok1wc/.
Any other station can receive an award for participation for reimbursement of
shipping expenses (envelope - 2 CZK, postage to OK - 14 CZK, to Eu - 25 CZK,
outside Eu - 30 CZK. The award itself is free by courtesy OK1FXX. One US$ is
about 18 CZK, one € about 25 CZK. The charges and exchange rates are of
February, 2011).

8. Logs
8.1 Log format
Only electronic logs in Cabrillo formats are accepted. Use your call sign as the
file name and TXT, CBR or log as its extension (i.e. OK1XYZ.TXT). Logs not
matching the above rules can be rejected.

8.2 Deadline
Logs are accepted up to 7 days after finishing the relevant lap.

8.3 Log handover
The logs are handed over by means of an interactive form
http://www.hamradio.cz/ok1wc/memorial/index.php?str=edit_deniky .
If any problems occured, send your log as an enclosure to an e-mail addressed
to:
memorial.ssb@gmail.com for SSB logs.
memorial.cw@gmail.com for CW logs.
Please use your own call sign (e.g. OK1XYZ) as subject of the e-mail.

9. Penalization
The only way to penalize a participant of the MWC activity is their
disqualification in the relevant lap. It can be applied by the contest organizer
for rough violation of the hamspirit, these rules or the rules for ham radio
station operation as issued by the respective national authority (PTT etc.).
By participation in the MWC activity the participant declares he/she will
observe all above mentioned rules and accept decisions of the contest organiser.
By sending the log, the participant declares that he/she observed these rules
and the rules for ham radio station operation as issued by the respective
national authority.
The contest organiser decision is ultimate.
The contest organiser of the MWC activity is OK1NE. See http://www.qrz.com/ for
e-mail and address.
