Hello Uli,
        If you looked into the structure of AX.25 packets then you would realize
that except for DIRECTLY connecting to the station your sending to then it
is ALL 3rd party.  It is one station passing a message on behalf of
another station.
AX.25 packet:

[from-callsign][to-callsign[][data-part-of-packet]

The from-/to-callsigns are generally not "seen" only the
data-part-of-packet is "seen" and that is the part that has the "From: ",
"To: ",etc. part of the message that you read.
