Hi all,

I just bought a new Casio cfx-9950g graphic calculator and I'd like to
connect it to other Casio calculators and to my pc. There comes no cables
with it for calculator <-> calculator or calculator <-> pc communications
and I don't want to pay almost as much for the cables as I paid for the
calculator.

I have the scheme for making a calculator <-> calculator cable, only two
2.5 mm stereo plugs and a piece of shielded cable is required (bottom
rings together for ground (shield), middle and top rings crosswired for
tx & rx).

Here's a clumsy ascii picture:

  /\                         /\
  || -- tx ----\ /---- tx -- ||
  --            X            --
  || -- rx ----/ \---- rx -- ||
  --                         --
  || -- ground --- ground -- ||
  ||                         ||
 _||_                       _||_
 |  |                       |  |
 |  |                       |  |

So that's not a problem. But I'd like to connect my calculator to pc
as well and I don't have the scheme for cfx-9950g. I have one for few
older models (cfx-9700ge for example) and I was wondering if it'll work
with cfx-9950g? I checked a Casio brochure and the attaching cable/device
for pc/mac is FA-121 for all other Casio graphic calculators and FA-122
for cfx-9950g. I guess they wouldn't make another connection device model
just to collect money from people?

If someone knows whether I can or can't use the scheme I have for older
models with cfx-9950g, please mail me. And I sure could use the new scheme
for cfx-9950g.. (the FA-122 interface costs about $115 usd, when the
calculator itself costs about $175 in Finland. And I'm not surprised anymore
if the cable for calculator <-> calculator link (SB-62) costs that $60..)
