Hi,
There have been a number of help requests that I possibly I can help with.
I know some of the problems have been solved, but it may be useful for
people.
BPQ <-> BPQ. The anture of KISS means that no TNC is necessary, a serial cable
is adequate if you have no link. But, when reading the BPQ docs I don't
think it is obvious that you seem to have to specify the CHANNEL= option,
even when not using a multi port setup.
3 wire serial cables are adequate.
Also, BPQ with windows. I have experienced many strange happenings with
windows and BPQ. You should make sure that BPQ is loaded before windows.
when using win3.1 / 3.11 it is often necessary to put a you radios on a
later comport, say 4, and put a MaxComPort=3 option in your SYSTEM.INI
in the Enhanced section. Also, if you have a network card on a MS network
it seems to slow down access to the UART. and BPQ will be less reliable,
though will still work, just naffer!
In 95 both of these are reported to be better, though I've never done it
I am told you simply don't tell 95 that you have a com4 (earlier example)
and it won't fiddle!
