Hi Guys,
In an earlier posting, there was reference to creating a method of having
a menu choice for running BPQ (DOS) under Windows. In Windows terminology
this is called creating a Hardware Profile. What you actually do is create
a profile with the comport of your choice disabled from Windows. If you
called this profile Packet, everytime you boot up Windows you would be
greeted with a menu containing Packet and Normal. I don't think I need to
explain further hi. Of course, any Windows device can be disabled in this
way. Also in an earlier posting was reference to BPQ32 and the limitation
of the packet terminal software it can be used with, well, Sally is the
only one I know of. Bear in mind also, BPQ32 doesn't support the baycom
modem. I actually have zip packages here with all docs and step by step
instuctions needed to get BPQ (DOS) running with Winpack if anyone is
interested. I have two varieties, one containing all docs and files
needed, and a small one for those who have the files and only need the
docs.
Cheers,
Bob
