The net/rom network is not that good that you can be routed very long any way.
It works more like local networks, so if some of them is replaced with
something else will it only make everything better.
The net/rom network in Sweden is only crap!

Yes but replacing them with some other node, would only be good.
So talking about what the reasons for using the different modern nodes would be
more interesting.
The other nodes have been created to replace net/rom nodes since they are no
good. But how should that be done?

You don't.
I don't know really know either.

Bpq is very much used on bbs systems as combined packet driver and node.
>TNC-2-nodes are still in majority.
Yes maybe, but also they should be replaced!
They are not much better than bpq.
The tnc2 is not suitlabe for node work any more, it is to slow for handeling a
good node and apcket driver.
Could be used with 6pack and som computer based packet driver or so, but not
as a stand alone tnc.

Bpq is used like that!
And that is aproblem that makes the routing work bad, nodes popup and
disapears.

That is not very realistic, since net/rom node ise used by many users.
And I would still have since the routing information is updated to seldom for
the routingto work good, the traffic load etc change more often than one each
half hour or what ever time it is between the routing information beacon is
sent out.

Why should I use anode like that?
To make the life harder for my fellow hams?
With flexnet can't that even be done!
For a flexnet node to appear in the node table, must the operator of
the neighbour node set up a link to the node and he don't do that to a node
that are not up 24h a day.
You would not have any such nodes in a flexnet network.

The software with an interface to the modem driver, and a interface to your
terminal, bbs, node etc which handels the ax25 communication.
Like the flexnet.exe part of flexnet.
Tfx, tfpcx, tfkiss, tf2.7b are both modem drivers, hostmode and packet drivers
in one software.

I think it would be the best for our packet network.
What node software do you think is the best and why?

I'm trying to convince you to use, but not forceing you!
I want you t realise why the old net/rom should be replaced with something
else.
I think flexnet would be nice, but you maybe prefer some other node?
> so good tthat we should use it instead of other packet-programs.
It is very good as both pacekt driver for a bbs and as node!

The adaptive parameters makes is easy to set up and also very good!
So it is both the best packet driver avalaible and easy to setup!

No, but net/rom is not what should be used, not in my world, neither in the
real world.
X-net and also thenetnode (not that good but much better then
old net/rom) works fine.
