In fact, I am running a remote multiport FlexNet node, based on a very
"new" 286 PC, 1 MB RAM, no hard-disk (only a boot floppy-disk) and a USCC
card with 1200 bps FSK, 9600 bps G3RUH, 4800 and 38400 bps Manchester
modems...
My home packet system is based on a 386DX40 computer, running FlexNet
node and TSTHOST PMS, easily linked to my local area network trough an
ethernet card, on which I can run ax25 and TCP/IP to the others Windows95
and Linux machines....
But all those words are useless: I had a BPQ node some years ago, than I
tried the FlexNet node and immediately converted my system....no regrets!
So, please, first give FlexNet a try, than speak...
