Hi all.
I am attempting to set up a two port node using my kam kpc-3 and pk12
tnc's both running in kiss mode at 2400 baud.
I have recently had an extra com port added to the pc, so now have com1
and com2.
I can use any packet terminal driver in normal converse mode at any speed
up to 9k6 fine with either tnc on either port.
I can run bpq under windows with a single port node using either com port
on either tnc in kiss mode.
But i cannot run both tnc's together using both com ports.
Com1 appears to work fine but suffers corruption now and again on either
incoming or outgoing.
Com2 doesn't want to communicate with whatever tnc is plugged in at all.
The sta light stays on on the pk12, the sta light does a very brief flash
on the kam when it receives data from the serial port.
I am certain all the parameters are correct (baud/parity/stop bits) and
the port addresses are correct ... also there seems to be no conflicts on
any other devices.
Just to eliminate windows/winpack ... the same problems appear if i start
up and boot into bpq from dos only, then using pac4 as a terminal driver.
I would appreciate help on this problem, also if i haven't been specific
enough please let me know and i'll try to fill in the extra details
needed.
Oh .. better mention the system spec:
386 with 8 meg memory.
1 parallel port linked to a second machine (which isn't on most of the
time) ... the link is established with the interlink driver which installs
at startup from autoexec.bat.
The second port is a 65000 or similar number, the first is 8300 or
thereabouts.
