Hello...
Can Anyone help...
I wish to connect 2 computers both running BPQ408A together.
I have Bpq running quite happy with 3 radio ports all using Baycom modems. and
1 telephone Modem... In the Shack!!!
I wish to connect my other computer to the first one via the Parallel ports
LPT1 on both machines...
I know it can be done via a hardwire link between 2 com ports but can it be
done via 2 lpt ports????
I want to do this as I dont have any spare com ports on the pkt computer in the
shack...
The distance I'm talking is from upstairs to downstairs as its a little cold in
the shack this time of year and I thout I could run Pkt on my othe machine via
my own node...
I dont see a problem as I can address the lpt ports in the bpqcfg.txt with the
addres 0378H irq 7 etc.......
and I know that Laplink/Fastlinx/Xtlink can be used to join 2 machines...Via
the Lpt ports...
Has anyone done this if so how do I wire a lead and any help with bpqcfg.txt
would be good...
Failing this I will have to use Earthenet which is unfamilure to me... How much
would a couple of cards be?? and is any other hardware needed...
any help would be appreciated cheers dom
