Maassluis, 17:20 14-10-1997

To everybody,

A couple of years ago I started my Packet activity with the most simple
program: Baycom. Then I tried TPK, TSThost, PcPakrat and many others.
Finally I am using GP (Graphic Packet) which is not too complicated and
still has many features. Above all, the baud rate can be changed from
1k2 to 4k8 or even to 9k6.

One month ago I istalled WinPack with the help of many others, world-wide.
This program is running under WINDOWS and via PK232-MBX as modem, so my
baud rate is limited to 1k2 only.

My present working situation is as below:

      ZDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDWinPack/PPWINDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD?
      3 ZDDDDDDDGPDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD? 3
      3 3 ZDDDDDGPDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD? 3 3
      3 3 3 ZDDGPDDDDDD? 3 3 3
    COM2 3 3 3 3 3 3 3
  IMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM; 3 3 3 3
  :        OptoSCC :    IMMMMMMMMMMMMMM;IMMMMMMMMMMMM;IMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM;
  :    Programs    :    : 1k2      4k8 ::    9k6     ::    PK232-MBX     :
  HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM< HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM<HMMMMMMMMMMMM<HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM<
       Computer Duomodem Modem TNC

  Programs: TRX:
     GP TR-751e VHF (Packet)
     WinPack TM-7Ve UHF (Packet)
     PPWIN TS-850SAT HF (Pactor/RTTY/Amtor/Packet)

As you will see, I can run GP (Graphic Packet) at any speed; 1200, 4800
and 9600 baud. The program is connected to the OptoSCC card in the computer
with the command: -POSCC:150:5:4440:

WinPack, however, is restricted to the 1200 baud of the PK232-MBX. The
connection of the program is via my COM2.

My question now is:
Is there a way to connect (run) WinPack also via my OptoSCC card ???
So I can leave the old 1200 baud and switch over to higher rates.

From G4IDE, Om Roger, I learned that WinPack can be connected to, or run
under BPQ. I dowloaded this program from my local Server, however, I did
not succeed to get it running properly. In spite of all DOC files.

To give you a full insight of my situation:
Computer:	166 Pentium
		Windows 3.1
		HD 1.3 GB
		Soundcard

Anybody who will reach me the helping hand is invited to send me
information about configuring and other procedures to get BPQ running.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I hope to hear from you soon and best 73 de
Pieter
