Well comparing the first skype display picture, you had with the
present one....hair cut and all...and a oil change....or ?????

There were a few CB rigs, that never got to Canada Ian. We only
got to see them, when friends from the US came to visit, or had
a residence in CANAADA or that cottage up north...and were using
their callisgns with the XM tacked on the back. I think I was
lucky to have got to try them out, even having them over at my
home. CANADA also had it's own brew type radios and a town
called Lindsay Ontario produced a 5 channel model called a
lindsay C27 ..... I see them sometimes, and they were fancy
for the time they came out... ran ok,...sounded ok...and there
were lots of them sold.

Inever got into trying or using the President line. I have a few
of the rigs used on the CB band...but I am sticking to the CB
radios..leaving out FT101s...TS50s...etc.

I was a Turner Plus 2 fan. Never liked the mobile mic.
Turner 254c as well without amp were nice too. As for skip
the first time it happened to me in 1964, was one of surprise
to me, as well the other station. BUT then one of our resident
HAMS and a real pioneer from 1917...he explained it all...and
we all knew who had heard him...that something awful was coming..
only not the movie part to put the icing on the chaos.

Hmmmm ...now I know when you flapped around... you might end up with
some nice yl for the cave...eh ???? and well now with all your
observations...etc....you have kept us..open and rolling.
