Greetings... This is Gary, W7NTF, in Spanaway, WA, grid CN87TB. I am
burning-in a new 10m beacon at my home location before it is permanently
installed in its 4100' home at grid locator CN97BF. My beacon is on
28.299 mhz and keys at about 15 WPM. I welcome all reports. Follow the
instructions in the beacon text for reporting.

This beacon runs 25w into an inverted vee antenna up 50'. Upon acquisition
of some sort of a medium-length radial-less vertical antenna such as a
Shakespere "Big Stick" or similar, I will install the beacon at my mountaintop
repeater site.

Similarly, construction is underway for a six meter beacon, which will be
burned in here at my Spanaway, WA QTH for some weeks before installation
at the 4100' site. The six meter beacon will utilize a 3-4 element yagi
antenna, pointed east of north, for study of the auroral curtain. I am
still gathering pieces for the six meter project and am looking for a
60w GE Mastr II transmitter strip and 3 or 4 element yagi antenna. The
beacon keyer construction is complete. I just need the radio, antenna,
and crystal.... I have yet to make a final decision as to the 6m frequency,
but have a good idea already where it is going to go.

I solicit positive feedback on these projects if you are so inclined.
Flames or putdowns will be flushed down the toilet and will just make
me all the more determined to complete my projects. If you don't like
what I'm doing, keep it to yourself....

73,

Gary, W7NTF
