Last 28 report. I seem to have established that 28 opens frequently even
at this stage of the sunspot cycle, but amateurs have for some reason
abandoned it. Maybe they have the same mindset I had, i,.e. that it is
useless trying 28 when the sunspot count has subsided as there will be no
propagation.

28 open tills after 2.00 a.m. local time on 27th with VK5WI coming
through at good strength.

144 MHz I heard VK6WG working VK5NY after a day with temperature at a
maximum of 43C (110F) here. Obviously tropo. I could not hear VK5NY and
Wally was having trouble copying. The tropo duct in to Albany is fairlu
high and misses me at times. I am almost at sea level. Wally is some
hundreds of feet above sea level on a hill with an easterly aspect. Ideal
location.
50 MHz - still dead. nothing heard at all and no answer to CQs from me.
Bob VK6BE.
