To all Hams/SWLs:
From 16:00 UTC 06/jan/1999 until 16:00 UTC 10/jan/1999 two BEACONS
are operating, in these QRGs: 10.140 MHz and 28.250 MHz. QTH: Porto Alegre
with Grid Locator GF49kw, 70m over sea level. The IDs are ONLY a carrier
7 secs long with 3 secs pause, N0N, continuously. They operate on the same
timer.

Reports via E-mail are welcome too.
The RIGs:
30m: TX QRP Xtal, 2 watts, antenna 30m dipole with SWR 1.1:1. The
position of the antenna is favourable to north-south signals after Porto
Alegre.
10m: TRX Midland mod. 77-104 (ex-CB box) with PLL, 3 watts, antenna
1/4 vertical with SWR 1.1:1.
Common Timer: based on IC 555.
The circuits are very plain, so can happen timer shifts of about
1 sec (?), and a little frequency drift.
