VK0IR beacon activity was the best imaginable advertisement for
International Beacon project. By this occasion, many DXer's have
been heard this system at the first time :)
After changing the equipment at 4U1UN in November 1996, whole
system is running in new 3-second-cycle. Timming accuracy is
controlled by GPS.
Main part of beacons runs on five frequencies: 14100, 18110,
21150, 24930 and 28200 kHz (some of them using only three QRG's,
because don't have WARC license yet).
Duration of one transmitting is 7 seconds, including four
one-second-dots, using output power levels 100-10-1-0.1 Watt
subsequently.

VK0IR's time slot is allocated for Russia.
CS3B is transmitting all dots with 100 Watts.
Possible temporary inactivity of 5Z4B can be caused by local
power supply network problem.
JA2IGY forenoons and 4U1UN and W6WX afternoons are reliable
indicators for intercontinental propagation from Europa. We
are albe hear an influence of each disturbance very soon and
simple here.
