Alongside the service roads providing access UNDERNEATH the Barbican in London
there is an area known to Barbican Security as the Loadin' bay.
In this area literally dozens of cables converge to feed TV Outside Broadcast
Vehicles with Audio and Video signals from inside the Barbican centre.
A veritable spaghetti junction - with the odd massive wall mounted junction
boxes etc. etc.... On the protective cover of one of these boxes are words
like: BBC OB sound - Upper Balcony and other meaningful phrases.....
In amongst all this is one junction box with the single phrase:
GB2VHF written in authoritative 1/2 inch wide black Felt tip!
Will the responsible graffiti artist stand forward and be counted? Or is there
a genuine and valid reason for the callsign to be located there? !!!
Intrigued I was when I saw it - I still am.... Anyone got an explanation?
