Recently, TV showed us a Mad Max film, where our hero was driving around in
countryside with no noticeable vegetation. I think the word usually used
for this is "arid".
When they rolled the titles it said: "Filmed entirely on location in
Australia."
People were having a big discussion a while back about that type of arid
country and got quite acrimonious, saying it didn't exist in Australia.
I think there must be one very tiny corner where it is all sand and the
makers of 'Mad Max' stumbled over it and decided to film there.
....Three times.
All the best. Ian.
