By the way, that title "OZ Tabloid Press grovels". Where or what is the
OZ tabloid press?? Anmd which one "grovelled"? I have never seen anything
that equals the tabloid press of the UK here. Certainly in my state there
are only two newspapers, one a daily, "The West Australian", and one
weekly - "The Sunday Times". There is also "The Australian", which is also
a rather conservative news paper. There are regional papers also - Albany
Advertiser, Merredin Mercury etc. but they are not tabloids.

There used to be a weekly here that rivalled the gutter press of the UK
but it went out of business about 40 years ago and nothing along the same
lines has been successfully started since. The papers I have seen from the
Eastern States don't seem to me to be similar to the tabloids of the UK.
Have we a "tabloid" press? I may be mistaken as far as the Eastern States
are concerned but there is none in my state. Nor have I seen the "West
Australian" grovelling. They seemed gave credit where credit was due - to
the English team. Would the English tabloids have done that if Australia
had won or would they have screamed for the execution of the English
coach???? You answer that David if you can.
