Ahhh but where did it say they weren't going to attempt to REPAIR the
radio after they had finished flashing mirrors/torches, flashing one
another (what else do you use a rain coat for in the desert? ;0)), and
using pages of the wildlife book for calls of nature?

All this should be taken with a pinch of salt (made by crushing the salt
tablets of course) *LOL*
