Uh, don't speak a word of Aussielish, so thanks for the heads up, mate. 
Now I suppose your comments regarding the doggie stuff give a clue to 
pronunciation. "Opps" rhymes with "plops" so I suppose that's what you 
say when you step in some. "Opps, steeped in some plops." On the other 
hand, also 5 fingers. We say "oops" and spell it the same way, I suppose 
because we must carry scoops to deal with the plops.
