Isn't it strange that the VKs get everything wrong as usual.
The *FACTS* are that VK6BE had used a swear word in the bulletin that I
complained about. Now VK6BE might not consider it a swear word - in fact
that was what he was saying about the word in question.
Well take it from me, it *IS* a swear word and I'm not going to repeat it
to anyone, not even in an SP.
Maybe it's the ever lowering standards in VK land that lead it's occupants
to think that swear words are not swear words any longer, just because they
are a regular occurance on TV.
This is not TV , it's Amateur Radio and such words as VK6BE used are NOT
acceptable here at GB7DBY ( and probably at most BBSs in GBR ).
The word in question that VK6BE was making light of is considered by me
as grossly offensive and as such it was picked up by my word filter.
It was the very fact that VK6BE was making light of it that I considered
to be the most offensive part of his bulletin.
I do not have the bulletin any more - I killed it, as that is all it was
fit for - so don't anyone ask me for it.
As Sysop of GB7DBY it is my responsibility to vet messages for such disgusting
words as VK6BE used. That is also the reason that VK6BE is now on reject here,
so that I will not be subject to any more of his swear words - this wasn't
the first occurance of swear words by VK6BE on packet as others have testified.
If I had retained the message or passed it onto another BBS , I would have
been as bad as VK6BEs homeBBS sysop who let the message out in the first
place.
It's time packet radio was cleaned up, and if to do that someone has to
"name and shame" people like VK6BE then so be it.
VK land - get your act together and clean yourself up.
