I wonder if the FCC are aware of the experimental amateur beacons using
nano and microwatt outputs being received upto a thousand or so miles
away ? The same sort of leakage level I'd expect from a BPL radiator.
Oh hang on a minute ... technical reasons shouldn't interfere (pardon
the pun) with the Capitalist dream eh ;-)
Still us Brits can't gloat too much as our OFCOM are pretty much the
same. That's why RADIO was controlled by the Dept of TRADE and INDUSTRY,
never mind the principles of engineering but just keep changing the
rules so that consumers are forced to spend money on new equipment.
