                ARRL / VEC Amateur Radio Test Session

There will be an American Radio Relay League Exam Opportunity sponsored
by the Eifel VE Team on

          Saturday, 26 September 1998 at noon

in Bldg 2002, known as "Old French Caserne" on Air Base Bitburg, Germany.
-- Please try not to be late --

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BRING :
- a legal photo ID (passport (!), see below);
- the original and a copy of any current FCC license and / or CSCE;
- the test fee of $6.35

IMPORTANT NOTES :
     1: The new FCC Form 610 requires that all applicants now sign an
           RF Safety Certification. You will need to be familiar with
           Section 97.13(c) of the Comission's Rules regarding
           RADIOFREQUENCY (RF) RADIATION SAFETY and the amateur service
           section of OST/OET Bulletin Number 65.
     2: We will not be able to offer re-testing at this session.
     3: We do not have photocopy services available.
     4: Because of the increased international tensions, extra security
           measures have been implemented in our area. This will affect
           participants to the ARRL/VEC test session. If you do not have
           a valid US military identification card, you will need to bring
           your passport so that we may obtain permission to escort you onto
           the military installation. No other form of identification is
           acceptable. Non-ID card holders who fail to bring their passport
           will be denied entry to the test session. Military police will
           not make any exceptions. These extra measures are unavoidable
           and are effective until further notice.

Directions are available upon request.
