ARLX002 Former ARRL Northwestern Division Director Mary Lewis, W7QGP
(SK)

Mary Lewis, W7QGP, of Seattle, Washington, passed away March 12. She
was 85. An ARRL Life Member, Lewis served as ARRL Northwestern
Division Director from 1981-1987 and 1991-1995. She also served as
ARRL Section Communications Manager for Washington and ARRL Section
Manager for Western Washington, as well as ARRL Assistant Section
Manager and ARRL Affiliated Club Coordinator for the Western
Washington Section.

Along with her husband Harry, W7JWJ, Lewis helped to create the
Western Washington Amateur Radio Traffic System. A retired
electronics engineer, she was a life member of the Quarter Century
Wireless Association and the Young Ladies Radio League. She was also
a member of the Western Washington DX Club, the North Seattle
Amateur Club, the Mike and Key Amateur Radio Club and the Mount
Baker Amateur Radio Club.

A memorial service is being planned. Lewis is survived by her
husband Harry, W7JWJ, her daughter Diana, K7ETY, her son Gary,
WA7BBJ, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
