Hi all. Just a few final thoughts based on some recent bulletins and SPs.

The JPEG code in ChangeFSI is not really fast enough for my purpose, UNLESS
there is some way to use the code that is faster than the way that ChangeFSI
itself uses it. Version 1.13S takes 6 seconds (on a Risc PC 600) to display
a 640 x 512 image with no scaling or processing applied.

A couple of people told me about the "SwiftJPEG" viewer referred to in AU. I
know about that already, and I actually mentioned it in my original JPEG
bulletin. Not having Internet access, there's not much I can do to get a
copy. I'm not sure that it would help (remember, I need some code that I
can put in a shareware program to be distributed to others; it's not just
for my own use) but I'd like to have a look at it if anyone can obtain it
for me.

I've had all sorts of wacky ideas regarding outputting BASIC variables to a
file, but nothing so far that actually works. I'd like a "dump" of all
string and numeric variables (including A%-Z%) of the type that LVAR
produces BUT it must be done (in response to a suitable key press - CTRL+ALT+V
for example) whilst the program is running. No temporary STOPs or ENDs or
anything like that can be inserted; they wouldn't help anyway as the program
is started from the desktop.

Bye for now and thanks to all who have responded to my bulletins.
