Subject: [aprssig] APRS by RFID

Using bar code scanners has been suggested - how about an RFID input
device for APRS objects?

Has anybody tried hooking APRSDOS to the AGWPE using the AGWPE Loopback
Interface by Tim Pearson, KB9VQF???

If the loopback interface looks like a "tnc" - it might work.

Our fourth superpressure balloon, Soli Deo Gloria 4, is aloft right now.
We are trying to characterize these balloons before risking an APRS payload
- if this flight goes well, then SDG-5 will carry a MicroTrak 300.

The balloon is heading to the south-southeast from Detroit - it should be
over north-central Ohio soon and heading almost due south from there.

SDG-4 is carrying a CW beacon on 28.636. Any reception reports -
especially those with bearing information and station coordinates (I can
always look your station up on Findu) - would be much appreciated!

Robert KC8UCH
