Hello,
im am quite handicapped without my mac+.
The powersupply is completely "dead" without a cause.
The switchingtransistor has 300 volts on it but gets no pulses to run.
Even switching it on and off doesn't give any pulse secondary on the
transformer.
I dont think it comes from the optocoupler as there is no power secondary.
There are two transistors left on 2n3906 and a tag87(thyristor)
They get no voltages but arent broken either.
I beleave this is a Self Oscillating Power Supply.
The Problem is i cannot find how it is supposed to start.
Usually there is a 470K resistor that gives the first push and the
swinging takes over.
Can you help?
Any help will be appreciated.
Please send me a message back.
/ack
