Hello to all,

I am wondering if anyone out there has tried using a hf mobile aerial from
the ground?
This has intruiged me for some time as a possible use for portable
working.
I know you can get the HF portable aerials but they dont have a ground
plane, and also you have to mess around changing the tapping points on the
traps at the bottom.
It would be interesting, I think, to try a HF mobile for say 3.5Mhz up,
possibly bolted to an aluminium sheet in place of the car, to act as a
ground plane.
Any help would be appreciated.

73/s de Terry,
G4UEQ.
