Dear friends,
the nice posting from Dave, G0BHD showed me, that
I did not indicate the length of my new antenna.
His example uses a nearly quarter wave length of
wire to resonate on his band.
My antenna versions are about 2 percent of the
wavelength, which is quite a difference.
The 10m resonator measures 45cm length, and is not
a wound as helical. It is working on a different principle.
As told in other postings, one main part is the
VARYLINK, which makes the antenna work as
E-field antenna with the low SWR, and at the time
time with a very high efficiency.
I doubt if Dave's helical would obtain the same
efficiency on 80m as the RoomCap, which measures
just 1.66m length on that band.
