Gidday George,

I have dealt with commercially made VHF on-glass antennas and found that
they are a real compromise. They also radiate alot inside the cabin,
especially if not tuned properly. The whips on them are quite long as
well.

Personally, I would steer clear of VHF on-glass ants. Use a ground
independant ant if you can't mount on metal.
