1. Sorel-Tracy School Contact Successful

On Tuesday, November 30, 2004, students from École secondaire Fernand-
Lefebvre in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada spoke to astronaut Leroy
Chiao, KE5BRW. They were able to ask and have answered 5 questions.
An audience of approximately 300 students, teachers, and dignitaries,

broadcasted to the rest of the school via the intercom system. Radio
and television stations, and local newspapers were present. One radio
station, which is part of the National Canadian Broadcasting Network,
broadcast the contact live. Another TV station taped the event and
will use the footage on a program to be run on the Provincial
Francophone cable network. This program is expected to be rerun
several times on the network.

The Les 2 Rives ran an article entitled, "Des jeunes de l'E.S.F.L. en
contact radio direct avec des astronautes en orbite!" The article,
