Launch Date: September 30, 2001

Status: Operational

Uplink/downlink: 145.827 MHz 1200 baud AX.25 AFSK via W3ADO-1
Aux/Uplink: 435.250 MHz 9600 baud via PCSAT-2 (off)

PCSat is a 1200-baud APRS digipeater designed for use by stations using
hand-held or mobile transceivers. Downlinks feed a central web site at:
http://pcsat.aprs.org

The APRS-equipped PCSat was built by midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy
under the guidance of Bob Bruninga, WB4APR.

She LIVES! Dateline 16 Oct 2004

Now 3 years old, PCsat has just made a full receovery as it entered
full sun this morning and we were able to command low-power mode to
help keep her that way. Users are authorized to use it while ATTENDED
only. No un-attended ops please. No beacons any more often than once
every two minutes per station. UI QSO' are allowed, but do NOT WAIT
for acks. Once you see your message digipeated, then kill it. Everyone
else saw it so there is no need for ACKS. This operational period
will only last a few weeks, so please go gently...

For more information, visit the PCSat web site at:
