Hi AMSATs,

In cooperation with other amateurs a transponder prototype has been tested at
5 juli. The transponder has been launched on a balloon just after 13:00h CET,
together with a GPS reciever. Telemetry output of the GPS was on 145.200MHz
while the transponder worked on 145.900Hz downlink with 435.105MHz uplink
with a bandwith of 100kHz. The lienair transponder worked very well, only
with some weak working conditions. The output of the transponder was 100mW
PEP but reports gave weak recieving signals.

After "landing" the transponder is tested again and it still is working great
what means that the antenna might be the problem
Next time we will try to fix this problem, so it will be a complete succes.

A picture of the transponder payload I will include in the next mail.
