Alpha is a comfortable >HAMWARE< Terminal program for the DSP Multimode
PACTOR-Controller PTC+, PTC-IIpro, PTC-II, PTC-IIe, PTC-IIusb and PTC-IIex
from Special Communication System GmbH.
It is a 32 Bit Application for Windows 95/98/2k/NT/XP.
16.11.2004 --- Alpha goes "next generation"...
The following changes have been made to Alpha version 2.2
new functions...
- PTC-IIusb support extended
- DSP-II Modem integrated
- new macro command %ptcfirmv% (Firmware > 3.6b needed)
- new macro command %ptcbiosv% (Firmware > 3.6b needed)
changes...
- freezing startup screen fixed
- flickering of mouse pointer minimized
- Configuration Editor for Packet Radio improved
- several small bugs removed
After the first startup of the new version you have to check the
entries for Controller type and Modem type in the Packet Radio
Configuration manager!
Alpha goes "next generation"!
From 14th July 2000 I offered the Software Alpha, which I have written,
free of charge. The software has developed to one of the most popular
terminal programs for the SCS PACTOR Controller PTC-II.
Starting with January 1st 2006 I am founding my own Enterprise and will
go on developing continuously my product. In the future Alpha will present
itself with a completely overhauled, user-friendly user interface, and
also will have new functions.
You will understand that with the beginning of the foundation of my
company the new versions will no more be offered for free. As an advantage
for the user I want to mention a more frequent development and better
support of the software.
The last free version of Alpha will be Version 2.2, which will be available
for download until the December 31th 2005 only at www.dh7rg.de.
I want to thank all users, who have been faithfully until today.
