Alpha is a comfortable >HAMWARE< Terminal program for the DSP Multimode
PACTOR-Controller PTC+, PTC-IIpro, PTC-II, PTC-IIe and PTC-IIex from
Special Communication System GmbH.
It is a 32 Bit Application for Windows 95/98/2k/NT/XP.
19.06.2004 --- Four and a half years Alpha... "Good bye Beta!" ;-)
The following changes have been made to Alpha version 2.004
- Support of French language
- English help
- UUE transfer (binary data TX/RX). More infos...
- Added mailbox access, which makes the observation of the own mailbox and
the own gateway possible
- ADIF export of the logbook data
- Station information can now easily be transferred from the
QSO-informationbar into the personal phonebook (*.cbk), just by mouseclick
- Sending and receiving of personal ID cards with picture
- Is a link going to be established via the connect book and is a frequency
entry selected then the QRG is taken over by the display and the log entry
- Is at link setup a different QRG set in the radio than selected in the
phonebook then it will be corrected if wanted
- The Packet-Radio monitor now also supports unproto transmissions
- ASCII > HEX conversion is possible for the channel manager to support
HEX commands for Kenwood transceivers
- PACTOR level 3 "fairplay" function
- Additional parameter for PACTOR-III possible (parameterfiles
"AlphaMylevel2.ini" und "AlphaMylevel3.ini")
- RS232 routine completely revised
- Switchover between HF-window and PR-window enhanced
- Re-selection of the last edited and transferred configurations in the
configuration manager
- Wrong re-selection of the last used PR channel after loading of an ini
file on PR corrected
- Malfuncion of [Window] [Standard settigs] corrected...
- The connect window now automaticly selects the last used entry as long
as no selection via the QSO informationbar is made
- Small mistakes in the speech file corrected
- Popup menue in HF-window is now also available with PACTOR duplex
- A new entry in the phonebook gets automaticly selected
- When the program was terminated during a PACTOR or Packet connection in
progress, and restarted again afterwards, all station information was lost
- After a restart into a Packet connection in progress the call will now be
extracted correctly. At incoming connects sometimes appeared "via"
- Bug removed at the program shutdown especially with slower PC's, where
sometimes an error message was displayed
- Bug removed in the mailbox manager
- DX-cluster sound is now enabled also when the DX window is visible
