Hello Alpha and PACTOR User

Alpha is a comfortable >HAMWARE< Terminal program for the DSP Multimode
PACTOR-Controller PTC+, PTC-IIpro, PTC-II, PTC-IIe and PTC-IIex from
Special Communication System GmbH.
It is a 32 Bit Application for Windows 95/98/2k/NT/XP.
The following changes have been made to Alpha version 1.95b
- Logbook for PACTOR, AMTOR, RTTY, PSK31 and CW added
- new Macros %loggo%, %logend% (Logbook)
- blue LED in the lower status bar (Logbook)
- Added "RST received" field in the QSO information bar
- Antenna switch support added in connection book
- Passphrase generation now also possible for PACTOR in the HF window
- Passphrase is transmitted automatically
- two formats are supported in the passphrase query:
1.: 1 2 3 4 5 and
2.: DK0BLN> 1 2 3 4 5
allowing the login process in the second one also via Gateways
- Disconnect Sound on HF is now only heard when there was really a connect
- Sound for the Scan ON/OFF feature added and
- some small bugs removed
- the Alpha online forum is online again...
I think that many users of Alpha will be fond of the long awaited logbook.
I first wanted to keep it less complicated, but it turned out that I could not avoid it :-)
The support for the antenna switch is especially for users who have it in use with their PTC-2.
This Beta version was released primary to see if there are still some problems left.
The next full release will probably be without the suffix "b"eta ;-)
