Hi all,

Considering Ian's comments on historical reenactments for TV (which I
happen to agree with) my slight change of title is appropriate. (;->)

While I don't remember who supposedly invented the first submersable (I
can't call it a submarine) called the Turtle the one credited with the
first workable submarine was an American named Holland, not a Dutchman
named Dribble. OH! That's Drebble, maybe accounting for the accent, New
Yorkers still can't get those Dutch names right.

Now if you want to see some really neat recreations watch Mythbusters,
they're at thier best when things crash or explode. Then there's that
rich Englishman throwing cars with his home made trebouchet and another
who launched himself into space. Now THERE'S a bored Englishman but still
I wouldn't mind owning a railway and driving my own trains especially
those tilt jobs made in Italy by Pendolino. I wouldn't mind owning bits
of British railway history and having them parked in my own rail yard
either, owning an airline, a record company and half of the UK for that
matter and no way a guy with all that money is a Virgin either.

Just think, if I had so much money I'd build a replica of the U-235 and
blow it up just to see how big a bang it makes and if it turns to lead
and sinks. Since the battleship USS New Jersey is retired and now a
museum I guess I'll just have to see what my old friend Nemo is up to
these days and take a Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea to see what's on
the bottom. Now where did I park the film crew?
