Intechnet South Africa monthly ham radio net
on sunday 21st of november 2004 at 1800 utc g3zhi gave a one hour talk on the sarl south african intechnet net about internet linking
the program which is unique in the world is broadcast monthly on a large number of 2m and 70cm repeaters all over south africa and on 80m/ 40m plus a 90m 100kw transmitter for africa
the program can also be heard all over the world via echolink
on node number 185459 the zs6fcs petoria repeater
prior to my talk the president of the sarl was answering questions on the system from hams
my talk lasted some 30 minutes and then i took questions from hams all around the country who were listening on one of the repeaters or hf frequencies
all the repeaters are connected by telephone via a conference call system which is hosted in capetown
the host of the event is hans zs6akv and he calls hams on the telephone anywhere in the world who are to be on the program
