Contest News
The CQ World Wide DX SSB Contest is taking place for the 48 hours of
the weekend of 30 and 31 October. Activity is on the six contest bands
from 160 to 10 metres. Participants should exchange an RS report and
their CQ Zone - the UK is in Zone 14.
On VHF, the RSGB 144MHz Activity Contest and Club Championship is on
Tuesday, 2 November from 2000 to 2230UTC. The exchange for this event
is an RS or RST report, serial number and locator.
The RSGB 144MHz CW Contest is on 6 and 7 November for 24 hours from
1400UTC on Saturday 6 November. A separate 6-hour contest is run from
0800 to 1400UTC on Sunday 7 November. Once again the exchange is an
RST report, serial number and locator.
Suitable freeware logging software for RSGB contests is available from
EI5DI's website.
