It is not too long ago that, during one of our beloved barrack room lawyer
discussions. A bit like the 'Freedom of Speech' - almost, we are haviing
now.
I quoted three acts and promptly got the whole message killed!
The first one mentioned was the 1974 S*x discrimination Act.
The word 'sects' was picked up by a filter and the offending messge was
killed. I have mis spelled many words if in doubt since then.
It is only recently that religion seems to be getting out..
I have even sent some 7Plus out at more tham 3 x 5k parts per day!
I think you are right, Andy. That strange feeling that I'm living in the
1950s is beginning to fade.
Remember, we couldn't say 'belly' we had to say the childish 'tummy'
instead. We couldn't say 'hell' True. There was a Lonnie Donegan song: The
Battle of New Orleans, where the line "We really gave 'em hell" was changed
to ..."wellll." Matt Monroe had his "Walk on Bye" banned for a long time,
as it "encouraged adultery."
I wonder what packet would have been like in the 1950s?

While I'm at it.To one station. FYI " " are quotation marks. ' ' are
apostrophes, which can be used for emphasis.
You don't have to use them, or reported speech for that matter, if you
want to convey the substance of, say a news report.
