9k6 works fine in a 15 KHz bandwidth if the filter has a good
phase response. If it has a flat pass band and steep skirts or
close in notches, it takes a wider bandwidth just to get away
from the excessive data destroying phase changes near the edges
of the passband.
Murata has made 15 KHz ceramic filters rated for data that work
better than those made for ordinary FM voice communications. And
probably lead to less distortion on voice too, though the ear is
not sensitive to phase effects that are frequency sensitive
though the ear is sensitive to phase effects between the ears at
a single frequency.
