True, but the sad fact is no one seems in the slightest bit interested :-(

I've banged on for years to everyone I talk to about packet but alas
nothing ever comes of it.

On the other hand I've managed to convert six non amateurs into getting
a licence, and 5 of them are very active. By active I mean getting up
off their butts playing HF/VHF/UHF/DXing/building aerials and on the
air almost every day..

(In other words not just buying a handheld, use it for a month and never
being heard again like many others).

Switchable 12.5/25KHz - so I guess 9k6 will be the maximum.
