Oh dear... Once again the RSGB get it wrong big time. Obviously, they've
not heard of Burnham-on-Crouch - St Peter's School to be exact. "Saint FM"
was given a broadcast licence last year. It may not have been the first,
but it certainly was awarded a licence before Queensferry High.
Considering the cosy relationship that the RSGB enjoy with OFCOM, it's
surprising that they didn't peruse the list of existing "Community
Licensees" to actually research their story before putting it out.
Cut 'n' Paste journalism seems to be spreading like wildfire! I guess a
correction would be too much to ask ?
But good news for the school - and I wish them the best of luck. They're
lucky that they'll be broadcasting from a place that's rent-free, has an
ample supply of "talent", and shouldn't have to worry about grants,
fundraising and being kick-out of their premises anytime soon ;-)
