Hi SV2EVS

Best wishes to you and your family. I reply to you like a
personal message, but i think that maybe the reply do not
arrive to you. This is the reason for i send it again to
topic.

You do not say what OS are you using, i supposed tha it is
Windows 98se.

Well when i was using agwpe 2002,10 with Windows 98se, i got
the same problem, then i recived this bull and make changes
and everything worked great!

Read it carefully and do not make mistakes Ok, make a copy
first of the REGEDIT.EXE program, as a backup, ok.

Hope this help you. Now i do not have any problems with
Windows XP pro, SP2 and AGWPE 2005, 127. Maybe you can test
with it.

Concerning the problem encountered with WINDOWS 98 Version 2
(Thanks to Bill GATE),

that forget to use ALL coms programs through DOS after Windows
has started like your old DOS packet programs as GP, TPK,
PCPACKRATT, etc... but also KERMIT, XTALK, PROCOMM etc...

Some month ago, i have proposed to use the F8 key during the
starting sequence of your PC, and to start with the DOS option
proposed.

This has been OK in general, but if the DOS autoexec.bat was
not prepaired, it'ld be some problems with the Keyboard,
necessiting to enter the KEYB language, and others missing DOS
configurations. And it was some time necessary to reboot the
machine when asking WIN command.

Here is a best solution :

- With your WINDOWS EXPLORER, open the WINDOWS directory.

- Find and open the REGEDIT.EXE program.

- Open (with + or double clic).

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

- System

- CurrentControlSet

- Services

- VxD

- VCOMM.

- Open EnablePowerManagement .

Change 01 00 00 00 (erasing 01)

to 00 00 00 00 (entering 00)

- Close REGEDIT and EXPLORER

- RE-BOOT the PC.

Take care you don't touch any other register. This 'ld make
your machine inoperative.
