Good Morning Bob, and Everyone this day... Cloudy, damp and
the threat of rain, but Sunday, and despite the WX ...still
nice.

I didn't know what thread to place it under, so NEWS perhaps
of this repeated message, which seems to be with us, for
obvious reasons, is old news.

You referred to the path...well that path taken to answer
reminds me of Star Trek, and all their twisted adventures.

I suppose along the way, some do get crushed or crunched
as a few sysops have got back to me on their BBS problems
and how they are handling issues. One issue has always
been the one now taken.

I hope you are not referring to the "Grumpy Old Men" I
go skating with since my return from South America? If
so, well most of them have plenty to do, and the skate
is sometimes a lunch break, from their jobs or their
volunteer jobs, and the skate being leisure, ends up
helping kids learn to skate, or being there to joke
with them building their confidence to get up and keep
trying. At least thats what I referred to only partly
in my text on the repeat of taking so-n-so off your back
unto mine.

Ok, I have read some of the postings Bob about the jails
in Australia, and got some impression here during the many
exchanges you call them gaols.

Perhaps , just maybe , but I doubt it, 6K might visit
you, and then get a first hand view of the country. Before
I went to South America, instead of all these URLs and
whatever on the Internet,. And for all the positive you
also get all the negative, all the "experts" pro or con,
and yet from someone there, like you Bob, and other
Australians, my friends in South America told me to come
with an open mind. Good to better advice.

Perhaps they are very if not angry at you and the people
of Australia? Perhaps the Uncle Remus story of Brae Rabbit
and Brae Fox ... and please please brae fox don't throw me
into the briar brush, might apply. I think it is great
on packet to have Australian contacts, as well as other
places to get a viewpoint of countrys, rather then trying
to be an expert via some rag newprint, which is solely to
sell papers and nothing more.

Thats OK Bob. Really, I have read enough on here about
CANADA, and yet while I live here, and disagree with their
views, they haven't seen the light. SO? Not worth
the bickering with them.

>Cheers, Pete.

"Thank you" so much for the reply Bob. I will most
certainly tell next season at the skating rink the Grumpy
Old Men stay off packet. Since there are only two of us
on packet, that is easy.

I was really laughing over the Australian Desert images
these some people have. I remember the National
Geograhic pictures and film on PBS onetime, and of course
the packet from Alf VK4OL < now a silent key> who in
retirement toured Australia in his caravan <RV>...and sent
pictures to Maria and myself, my mother, and everyone.
